Position title: Membership Development Manager

 

Position reports to: Membership Development Director, Teri Goward

 

Position status: Full time

 

Location: State College and Montoursville

 

Travel required: Yes, throughout the council and the 11 counties served by the State College and Montoursville service centers.

 

Position summary:

The Membership Development Manager is responsible for development, retaining and increasing girl and adult membership in assigned geographic area. The manager implements multiple delivery systems and program opportunities for girls.Represents Girl Scouting in the community through presentations, collaborative efforts, and networking.

 

Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field;

Five years work experience in membership development;

Prior management and supervisory experience, preferably some offsite supervision;

Experience in developing budgets and managing financial resources;

Strong communication, organizational and time management skills;

Ability to do public speaking and to develop community collaborations;

Proficient in recruitment and training techniques;

Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages;

Ability travel throughout the council as needed;

Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) abilities preferred.
