Position title: Outreach Specialist

Position reports to: Outreach Manager, Kara Wright

Position status: Full time

Location: Lancaster/Lebanon

Travel required: Yes, throughout the council and the counties served by the Lancaster service center.

Position summary:

Responsible for ensuring the availability of the Girl Scout program to

underserved areas within the council jurisdiction. Assist in the development of proactive recruitment and retention strategies to increase girl membership in targeted areas. Assist in planning and implementing a comprehensive annual plan for girl and adult membership growth. Works to ensure diversity in the recruitment and retention of girls and adults.

Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field;

Two years experience conducting recruitment programs and events preferred;

Strong communication, organization and time management skills;

Ability to do public speaking;

 Proficient in recruitment and training techniques;

 Strong public relations skills and ability to develop community collaborations;

 Ability to effectively identify, analyze and solve problems;

Ability to work a flexible schedule and to travel throughout the council as needed.
