Come to Penn State's campus to experience "The Magic of Science!" Join us in a series of interactive STEM activities led by real scientists, and earn a fun patch in the process!
Snacks are included but no lunch.
Participants will
choose between two activity tracks during registration:
- Track A will feature "Magical world of weather", "Levitation (Wingardium Leviosa!)", "Magic codons", and "Enchanted energy: the magic of piezoelectric materials".
- Track B will feature "The magic of insect choices", "Becoming stronger with a lever", "Enchanted energy: the magic of piezoelectric materials" and "STEM escape room".
We will end the event with a Q&A with the STEM activity
leaders, where participants are encouraged to ask any STEM questions
they may have-- activity related or otherwise.
Agenda:
- 12:30pm-1:00pm: Check-in
- 1:00pm-1:45pm: First session
- 1:45pm-2:30pm: Second session
- 2:30pm-2:40pm: Snack break
- 2:40pm-3:25pm: Third session
- 3:25pm-4:10pm: Fourth session
- 4:10pm-4:30pm: Q&A with scientists
- 4:30pm: Sign out
